How blog-posts and hyperlinks work

Hyper links can be used to make a blog-post a lot more concise - you can refer to a big issue of the day without having to explain it - and you can illustrate it with a suitable quote that is indented:
"Shaun Woodward says he is "astonished" by the actions of Mr Hoon and Ms Hewitt. He describes the call for a ballot on Mr Brown as an unnecessary distraction following his "hugely successful" performance earlier at prime minister's questions."
You can then finish the post off with your own observations and perhaps a link to your previous comments on the matter. This means that you can build a comprehensive interlinked outline of your position. Adding a few tags or categories like 'blogging' (below) also helps to make your blog a bit more coherent.
